OUR STORY
Welcome to Evergreen Veterinary Clinic, where our journey is rooted in a deep love for nature, family, and a commitment to providing compassionate care to pets and their humans.
A Childhood Rooted in Nature: The story truly begins when Dr. Eric was a young boy. His love of nature and the outdoors was nurtured by his grandfather, the son of an orphaned Lebanese immigrant, who wisely instilled in him a love for trees and the importance of investing and cultivating land. Growing up surrounded by thriving forests, Eric developed a profound connection with animals and nature, shaping his purpose for the world around him – and his personal favorite way to decompress!
Choosing a Different Path: While his family had a successful construction and real estate company, Eric listened to his heart and decided to go down his own path. Pursuing a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Management, his journey took him to West Virginia University. One summer, an internship with a veterinarian working with deer herds clinched his next destination in the journey: a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from Michigan State University in 2012. GO GREEN!
A Family Affair: In 2012, Eric married his high school sweetheart, Katie. Together, they envisioned a life that blended their individual passions, their growing family, and a shared dream of creating a meaningful, family-centric life that contributes to the local community they live in and love. For Dr. Eric and Katie, Evergreen Veterinary Clinic is not just a business. Their intense commitment is to bring balance and joy, not only to the pets and clients they serve but also to the amazing work family they’ve thoughtfully assembled.

It is not only your pets we lovingly care for but we are also committed to fostering a positive work/life balance in the lives of our entire team. Known as Dr. Z around the clinic. Sometimes referred to as a cat whisperer, gardener and nature lover, has over 25 years experience as a veterinarian.

Identical twin boy Mom, mini farm manager, pet behavior enthusiast, the one who never stops moving.
Dr. Reiss
Associate DVM
Bachelors degree from Vermont. DVM from Michigan State (GO GREEN!) Crazy pug lady, coffee fanatic, plant collector, nature lover, passionate about geriatric care and pain management. Has 3 of her own high-maintenance pets + one Husband.
